All adult home fixtures, on Saturdays and Sundays can be viewed live, and afterwards on Thornton Cricket Club’s YouTube channel. All home fixtures are shown in the Diary of events. The Cricket Field is on Hill Top Road. There are 3 adult teams which all play in the Halifax Cricket League, and active Junior Teams:
- The First XI play in the Premier Division 1st XI, on Saturdays. As at 11 August 2026, with 17 of 22 games played, they are 1st in the Division with 177 points, (Oxenhope are 2nd with 160 points, an Booth are 3rd with 149 points.) The 1st XI also entered the Briggs Priestly Parish Cup run by the Halifax Cricket League, and the T20 knockout competition. In the 2026 season they were knocked out of the Parish Cup, early on, but are in the Final of the Shibden Mill Inn T20 at and against Illingworth St Mary’s Cricket Club.
- The 2nd XI play in the First Division 2nd XIs, on Saturdays. As at 11 August 2026, with 15 of 19 games played, they are 4th with 136 points, the teams above them, who have all played 16 games, are !st with 143 points are Sowerby St. Peters, 2nd with 139 points are Great Horton Park Chapel, and 3rd with 137 points are Stones. They also played in the Orox Crossley Shield, but were knocked out in the first round in 2026.
- The 3rd XI play on Sundays, in Sunday League Division 4. As at 11 August 2026, with 15 games played, they are 3rd with 217 points. The two teams above them have only played 14 games and are Bradshaw who are 2nd with 225 points, and Birstall who are 1st with 232 points.
- The mixed junior teams playing in the Halifax Junior Cricket League this year are:

- Under 18s
- Under 12 Girls Team play in the Upper Airedale Junior Cricket League, Girls Softball Championship, and came 6th out of 8 teams in their first year as a team.
The Club publish a regular monthly newsletter, Tough at the (Hill) Top, on their Facebook page.
- In 2025 the First XI came 2nd out of 12 teams, 33 points behind Booth. They also won the T20 beating Upper Hopton by 2 wickets.
- In 2024 they, once again, became Champions of the Premier Division 1st XIs, and won the Parish Cup.
- In August 2024 they beat Illingworth St. Mary’s CC by 7 wickets in the Parish Cup Final. See photo below. (photo copyright © of Halifax Cricket League.)
- In the 2024 final of the Parish Cup they beat Illingworth St Mary’s by 7 wickets – Illingworth were 182 for 7 wickets in their allotted 45 overs; Thornton were 186 for 3, in fewer overs.
- In 2023 they finished top of the division, out of 12 teams, 35 points ahead of the 2nd team in the Premier Division, unbeaten that year, and also won the T20 Cup and the Parish Cup. This was the first time any team has won the treble.
- They won the Parish Cup by beating Illingworth St. Mary’s by 16 runs on 13 August 2023
- In 2022 the First XI finished 5th in the Premier League.
- The 2nd XI play in the First Division 2nd XIs, on Saturdays.
- In 2025 they finished 6th out of 11 teams
- In 2024 they finished 3rd of 8 teams.
- In 2023, they finished 3rd out of 8 teams. they were 4th out of 8 teams
- In 2022 they were 4th out of 8 teams.
- The 3rd team play on Sundays, in Sunday Division 4.
- In 2025 they finished 9th out of 10 teams and were relegated back to te 4th Sunday Division.
- In 2024 they finished 2nd of 9 teams and were promoted to the 3rd Sunday Division for the 2025 season.
- In 2023 they finished 6th out of 7 clubs.
