Planning Applications from January 2021 to date, newest applications first.

Below are details of planning applications submitted to Bradford Council, for information.  Representations, both for and against, planning applications, can be made within 3 weeks of a planning application being verified by the Council (having all required details and the fee having been paid).  Representations after the initial 3 weeks are usually also taken into consideration. 

In planning law, to be valid, objections to planning applications must be based on “material planning considerations”.  Traffic problems on Thornton Road, the lack of school places, the difficulty of getting medical appointments, spoiling a view, or land ownership disputes are not “material planning considerations.”  Neither is “our village doesn’t need any more houses” if the Local Development Plan has stated it will get more houses (which it has: 575 more between 2020 and 2038). Any planning permission goes with the land rather than the landowner.  Who the landowner is is immaterial, unless it’s Bradford Council.  All Bradford Council’s own planning application must be determined by a planning committee.

Most planning applications are determined by qualified Planning Officers.  The more contentious ones go to the Planning Panels for determination.  Departures from the Local Plan go to the Regulatory Committee for determination.  Full details of the applications can be seen by clicking on the coloured links.
